The Vice President of Operations supervises and coordinates activities of personnel involved in performing all internal operations of the company including but not limited to customer service and inside sales, finance, human resources, accounting, taxation, accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll, banking, manufacturing, marketing, and facilities.

VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

Position Description:

The Vice President of Operations supervises and coordinates activities of personnel involved in performing all internal operations of the company including but not limited to customer service and inside sales, finance, human resources, accounting, taxation, accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll, banking, manufacturing, marketing, and facilities.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Facilitate excellence in all aspects of AMMC’s customer service to all our customers buy leading a congenial culture of service and value
  • Participate with the management team to formulate, implement, and administer company policies
  • Manage office staff
  • Maintain compliance with all human resource regulations and taxing authorities
  • Maintain the company’s relationships with banking, accounting, supplier and insurance organizations
  • Audit a variety of reports to manage the business and ensure accuracy
  • Manage the functioning of the building systems
  • With the management team, develop long range goals and objectives for AMMC

Primary Objective:

  • Help the office staff realize the external value propositions of Golden Rule and Technical Excellence by leading a congenial culture of service and
  • Work with the management team on the goals of managing and improving the services of the company to improve the customer experience
  • Participate in the formulation of and administration of company policies and help develop long range goals and objectives

Specific Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Analyze activities, costs, operations and other data to determine progress toward company goals and objectives
  • Examine procedures and initiate changes to save time, labor, and other costs, and to improve quality control and operating efficiency while continuing to improve excellence in customer service
  • Review and contribute to marketing literature, goals and direction with management team
  • Supervise and train office staff
  • Manage specific customer jobs
  • Work with our current bank to manage the whole banking relationship including our line of
  • Work with outside human resource personnel to ensure compliance on issues such as health insurance, retirement accounts, life insurance coverage,
  • Work with our general insurance company to ensure compliance on all general liability, workers’ compensation, unemployment, etc. insurance needs.
  • Work with outside accountants on general issues, compliance, and year- end taxing
  • Have a good understanding of all office staff responsibilities in order to fill in for any office staff positions as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • A thorough understanding of excellence in customer service
  • Commitment to accurate and timely fulfillment of deliverables
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics
  • Knowledge and experience in finance
  • Knowledge and experience in general accounting processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of the company’s product lines and line relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a congenial disposition
  • Technical acuity
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office for Windows business systems
  • Ability to be in the office during normal business hours, 8:30AM – 5:00PM, Monday through Friday unless otherwise negotiated
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language

Work Environment:

Clean, relatively quiet, small office environment located in suburban Park Hills, KY. Close association with small office staff mates. Non Smoking Office. Strict no tobacco policy as requirement of employment.  Free parking in private lot adjacent to office.
